I was planning to post another message tonight, but there has been so much activity out there that I have spent the last two hours reading everyone's blogs! Congrats to Lauri for getting her court date for Olivia. Congrats to Lisa and Rhonda for getting the news that their agencies are accrediated. And good news for Gaye that they will be traveling to see Roman in March! And I absolutely love Melissa's pics of Maks. Such a smiley boy - he can't help but make you grin.
Tuesday and Wednesday nights I had work commitments - dinner & a happy hour that were lots of fun. It's nice to be back at work full-time and I'm making an effort to be social. Last Fall I went down to part-time to start the adoption process, only to learn that we had to wait a year... then my company had a re-organization and a cool full-time position came up... so with the new house & decorating plans I decided to take it and go back full-time.
I have Friday off!!! Can't wait to have the day to myself. I have an appointment with the DMV to change my last name & get my address updated. Then I will go to the Social Security Office to get my SS card updated with my married name. Michael and I are then going to my sister's office to pick out office furniture for the new house (my sister is an interior designer and represents a high quality office furniture manufacturer, think "trade discount"). Michael is setting up a home office so he can be at home when the little ones get here, with the possibility of me doing some work with him too. We'll see. But just writing all of this makes me think that I have so much to do on my day off!!!
OK, got to run and watch the figure skaters. My favorite part of the Olympics!!!
How fun!! I love picking out new furniture. I need a new desk for my office. Thought I was getting D's, but he gets to keep it. Dang!
I would love to hire an interior designer, but seeing as I am an "exterior" designer D says no. Dang again!
Thanks for your support and comments for margaret and I. Hopefully, when you begin the adoption process all of the frustrating reaccreditation business will be over and things will be running smoothly again!
