DOTW - Babette

Meet Babette. She's 2 year old hound/dachshund mix and a complete sweety. We hung out a little bit on Sunday morning. She likes sniffing and exploring when she goes out on walks. There was a nice man looking at her for his young family when I left on Sunday, so I'm surprised she is still available today because he thought she was "perfect". She does have a perfect face and beautiful eyes.

Brandy is still at the Humane Society. I played with her alot, we went for a long walk, and I brushed her coat. She loves giving sloppy kisses. I don't why I love that dog so much!

I signed up to go again next Sunday because it's my best activity for recharging after a long week. These animals give so much love, I can only imagine what they give to their families when they finally get to go home. I wish I could adopt them all.

I don't know how you do it, Tricia. I couldn't do it without adopting more animals -- and I'm maxed out on the animal front. I think it's great that you volunteer to work with animals. This DOTW is adorable.

You are so great to volunteer at the Humane Society. Honestly, I am too afraid of big dogs to own one, but I always feel sorry for them when I see them locked in small cages. I hope you can find someone to care for this dog.

Awww Tricia...that is so awesome that you do that. Our cat comes from a shelter, he now thinks he rules our house. But, then so does our bulldog. Oh yea, so do the kids....HEY...where do I fit in to this picture??? :) By the way, I have to comment...I love your new picture. I loved the one before. But, you are looking like a model these days girl!!!

We'd have a full house by now if we helped out like you do. All we have right now is a stray cat that adopted us. But we love her like she's ours.

SHE is so cute. Her mouth is a little crooked, just like my dog's.

I am with Margaret, I would probably own an entire team of dogs and cats if I worked at an animal shelter.

We had 5 pets when we were in Texas. 4 cats and a dog. When we moved, we had to re-home 4 of them. Every single one of them went to friends. We still get updates and pictures which is awesome. All of them came from the pound. I wish we weren't in an apartment so we could grow our pet family again. :)

Love the dog of the week.

BTW: Please shoot me an email address, I'd love to reply to your comment you left on my blog! :)

Tricia- After all this time I finally took a look at the profiles of the bloggers reading my husbands blog- and am intrigued by yours- I am the Mom of Zoe "from Russia with love"- I wish you the best in your future Russian adoption. It may seem like along road ahead but life goes by fast- before you know it you will have a beautiful child- The waiting sucks but well worth it!
