Hi everyone. Thanks so much for your comments on the furniture & bedding. It helps alot to have some real life market research. There are so many choices, not just with furniture, but clothes, toys, schools, childcare, you all know the drill.I think I will go ahead and order the beds. The trundle bed is on back order until the end of July, but that's ok as we are not expecting our children before then! As for the bedding, I went to Pottery Barn Kids in La Jolla this weekend, and they had a couple of the quilts. Honestly, I don't think that they are worth the cost... each quilt was $149! That doesn't include the bedding, duvet, duvet cover, shams, decorative shams, etc. So I am going to look other places. I like the idea of buying everything from one place, since I'm design challenged and one place helps me make sure things match or complement. But the quality was not worth $149...Work has been keeping me busy, as I usually say about every other post. I am traveling to Tokyo and Singapore for working starting June 2nd, so I am busy getting my presentations/materials ready for that, and also get things taken care of at home, and trying to have a social life with my husband. We are looking forward to the long weekend, and will probably have friends over on Monday for a BBQ.And I'm so excited because we booked a camp site at the Grand Canyon over 4th of July weekend. We have only camped once together (Michael used to go all of the time before me). I think it's so cool that we can DRIVE to the Grand Canyon and camp there. It's not some prairie in the middle of Wisconsin, it's the Grand Canyon! Our second choice was the Joshua Tree National Park, but when I discovered the average temperature is 108F in July, I decided we will put that off until the Fall. It's so nice to have a vacation to look forward to!Back to work...
Vacations are fun. We are planning one to Las Vegas in June.
That's so cool that you're going to Tokyo and Singapore. I know it's for work, but still... how cool. I used to travel for work and I visited places like Mason, Texas - "population just plain good folks!" Tokyo and Singapore -- color me jealous.
Travel plans sound cool- we stayed at the El Tovar when we went to the Canyon- we're not quite the adventurous camping types, although it would be fun to try once or twice.
Cool on the camping thing...DH and I used to go all the time when we were first married. We actually planned a trip for summer, but my personal situation is delaying things...probably will go upstate NY..camping is very romantic!!
If Joshua Tree is supposed to be 108 then how hot is the grand canyon? I would love to camp there sometime. How fun!!! Tell us all about it when you get back.
Take care and hope to talk to you soon!
