Pre-Adoption Paperwork Countdown - Furniture
This summer has sure been coming quickly... I can't believe that we will be starting the process in three months!!! Last Fall, August 2006 seemed like an eternity away. Now I am thinking of all of the things I need to get done. First off, I'd like to get the girl's rooms decorated. I have my cousin's family (with 18 month old boy + one on the way) coming at the end of July and Shalisa's family (with 3 yo boy & 6 month old girl) coming in August. I thought it would be nice for them to have some furniture to sleep on. So after a couple of months of deliberation, I think I am going to go ahead and order the beds (above) from Pottery Barn. These beds are from the pb teen Chez Moi Collection. The bottom one is a trundle bed, which will be nice for visitors/friends. I thought it would be cool to have similar beds so things match. I will also order a couple of dressers, bedside tables & bookcases. Even though it's from the pb teen collection, I figure the girls can grow into the furniture which makes the purchase spend more reasonable. And now we considering 2 girls between 2-6 years old, so I think a twin bed for each will work out fine and these choices can be made to look young and old.
