Ok, so I'm alot like Jen. I have a hard time decorating. This is now a reoccuring theme of this blog, which I'm sure is boring some of you to tears. Today we are going shopping for mattresses. I bought this bedroom set with a full size bed, thinking it will be nice for sleep overs and guests. And since our oldest will probably be 4-6 at the time of adoption we should be OK with this larger size. It really fills up the room though, so we'll be buying a twin bed for Girl's Room #2. I am having troubles commiting to Girl's Room #2 though, because what if find ourselves adopting a brother / sister? I will probably wait for a while before investing in more furniture for the second room just in case.Once I get the mattress, I can get out the beautiful bedding (see pics below). I'm just wondering if I should paint the walls (note: brown carpet & brown walls). I think it would be more fun with some color, but we won't be changing out the carpet so we'll see how it looks without changing the walls for now.We cancelled our vacation - which we should be on now - last Friday. We continued to hear reports that the Sedona area was consumed with the Oak Creek Canyon fire, and that the Grand Canyon was also going to impose campfire restrictions starting on Friday. So what's the point of camping without a nice campfire? We are now looking at options closer to home for next weekend. I decided to take today off to get the rest of our summer organized, and I'll also take off Friday to enjoy the long 4th of July weekend.
The decorating part makes me so emotional. I get a bit done and then sit and daydream.
Love the pics.
Sorry you had to cancel your vacation.
Sorry your camping trip got cancelled. Hopefully you'll find some other place to get away.
