Want to Start a Russian Adoption Book Club?

This evening Michael and I were at Borders and I picked up a copy of Theresa Reid's "Two Little Girls A Memoir of Adoption". Has anyone read this book? Looks like it's pretty new... published in April 2006. All of the Amazon reviews were very favorable - they say that Reid candidly describes the long emotional and realistic process of Russian/Ukrainian adoption.

I've been meaning to read that. I'd love to be part of the book club- how will this work?

I have heard of this book and looked at the reviews. I am considering getting it some time. Let us know what you think of it after you have read it.

Good luck on your decorating. I know you have good taste, so I am expecting to see great things.

I'm really interested in what you think of that book. And also, if you decide on the book club, I'm IN!

I have begun the book. However, I am a little troubled by some of it. I am keeping my mind open until I finish it. Will let you know...

I liked the book. There were some things that did not sit right with me, but I did feel that she was candid with her feelings. People think it is so easy to adopt, they should read this book! The other book I thoroughly enjoyed was Waiting for Lucinda. It is about Guatemalan adoption, but it truly chronicled what she went through to get her daughter. I actually gave it to my mother to read so she would understand what we have gone/ will go through.
