1st Checkpoint Accomplished
I mailed our application to our agency on Tuesday. I received a call from them today verifying a few questions (do we really want two biological siblings? no infants? are we physically & mentally healthy?)

One thing that came up was the length of our marriage. Again, the agency said that Russia prefers two years of marriage at the time of adoption. (Doesn't this process usually take a year?) We've got one... but we've been together since Feb 2003 and living together since Aug 2004. The agency thought that this would be OK, and we would stress our two year living situation in the home study.

So we must have passed because they are now sending us the homestudy paperwork. When we get this we are supposed to call the office and talk to someone about filling in everything. We'll also send back a consent form, and when that is received... we'll be assigned a social worker.

Let the games begin!

Tricia how exciting. What age range did you specify?
Looking forward to watching you move ahead.

Tricia,
I can't figure out how to get your email. Here is ours: dcagle@pldi.net. Email me if you are interested in more info. I read your post on someone else's blog and think the girls are probably a little too old. One is in age range, the other is just out of range. Email if you're interested. The oldest is the little girl that told me she wanted a mama and papa too. She's a beautiful child.
