M and I got back from Chicago this afternoon. Didn't know we were gone? We planned this trip about three weeks ago. Some family business came up which required M to be needed in Chicago. I decided to tag along and we made a week out of it, seeing friends and family in both Chicago and Madison.

Before we left we also completed the adoption application paperwork (pic, above). We will be sending it out on TUESDAY. The trip was wonderful talking about our adoption expectations and re-connecting in person with our references (Thanks guys! Only Heather knows about this blog, but you will all know about it soon!).

I also found this lovely book at the B*rders on Michig*n Ave which I had only heard about on some adoption message boards. It's very cool (www.ubah.com). We are going to get started on our Russian language learning*.

*Rest assured we will be using more than this picture book to learn Russian. Although it will be a good tool to use with the girls when we are just learning to communicate with each other.
