I've never been to Joshua Tree, but I've heard it's beautiful. I've seen a few pictures too.
No advice... although I think I heard or read somewhere that there are only pit toilets. Bring a spare roll of TP and some hand wipes. =) Have a great time and post some pics when you get back!

Great pics of your newest addition. Hope it all goes well. Little El especially loved the pictures. He said, "Eat sabach." I'm sure the word order was wrong. He wasn't wanting to eat the dog, he was looking at the picture of the dog eating. We're working on the whole word order thing.
