Happy New Year!
Hooray, we survived 2006 and very much look forward to 2007! With conservative confidence I am happy to say that this will be our big year. Our fingers and toes are crossed & hope for the same success to all of the other families just starting or completing their adoptions this year. I appreciate all of your kind advice, support & crazy stories.

We had a very doggie weekend. Lots of fun adventures at local dog parks and even a new hiking trail was discovered just 20 minutes from our house. We spend 1.5 hours this morning climbing a trail (well, Thani was dragging me up the hills) and we saw fabulous views of Elkin For*st. We are planning for many more explorations of this nature preserve.

Saturday night we had some fun and went to see a favorite band of mine... Soul Asylum. yes, the same band we saw just a few months ago. They were back in town playing at House of Blu*es so we ventured out with my brother. Once again, it was a fun show. Brought to mind my very cool college friends (you know who you are), who I miss lots but always have with me in mind & spirit.

Cheers!

Tricia, I have read your comments on my son's blog (voiceless...). I noticed the Rancho Humane Society. Our daughter used to live in the Rancho Cucamonga area. Are you near there? We will add you to our prayers.
