Mother's Day Trip to Emergency Room
Thani had an emergency trip to the vet this afternoon. Poor guy. Yesterday, we went with H (one of our good friends from WI in town for work - she is one of our adoption references) to Del Mar Dog Beach. Thani played and played and played - running around with a bunch of dogs and jumping in the waves. He got a great workout. We came home, had dinner together & around 10PM noticed that he had his tail wrapped underneath his bottom. I thought that he was "holding it" and Michael quickly got him outside. Turns out, his tail was just really sore and he had a hard time getting comfortable on the couch or in his bed. It all started very suddenly.

He seemed to be doing better this morning so we met up with E & T to help get her mom moved into a new condo. Three hours later we got back to the house and he was still not feeling good. So we took him to the vet. It doesn't appear that he broke his tail... but it is bruised somehow. (He was so cute... he kept giving kisses to the female vet.) In the end (not literally) he got a shot, and will take anti-inflammatory medication until Thursday. Right now he is sleeping soundly on his bed in the living room.

We are staying in tonight, on nurse duty, for our little guy. Hope he feels better tomorrow.

I hope Thani feels better soon. Glad the tail's not broken. We've had several vet trips lately too for the cats. It seems to come in waves.

I got a bob a few weeks ago too! I'm finally get used to it and I think I like it. Yours looks great!

I started hitting the bank and pulling out lots of bills, and then I went back on a weekly basis to "trade up" for better bills until I had at least 2.5K of near-perfect bills. We took about this much, but didn't use it all because we could pay for our hotel with a credit card. The money changers run the bills under two different lights looking for marks on the bills. We didn't have any problem changing our money, but I was super-picky about the bills too.

Oh wait, I think we took closer to 4K with us, because we had to have enough for a doctor exam/travel. We still only used about 2.5K though, I think.

Poor puppy. Chianti sends his best wishes and hopes Thani feels better soon.

- This reminds me, I need to find where our emergency vet is.

Sorry to hear about your poor dog! When I worked in a pet hospital we saw our fair share of tail injuries. The dogs just get so excited about playing that they don't realize their tail is hitting something hard and bruising! I hope the anti-inflammatories have him feeling back to normal in no time.
