New 'Do!

Following in the footsteps of Jennefer and Elle, I decided I needed a big change with the hair. It's been months since I got it cut, and a couple of years since I've done something different. Remember in my last post I said that we wanted to be cool parents? Well, to be a cool mom you need COOL hair.

The top pic is the before pic (soon to be removed but provided so you can appreciate my clear moment of truth that I had let myself go)... This is us a few weeks ago helping out at a Rotary International volunteer day project.

With the new color & cut, you can see I went lighter (bleach blonde highlights) on the top and dark red (underneath in the back). The short bob is fun and functional for summer. I love it so far.
Here's link to another one of those "adoptive parents are freaking out tensions between US/Russia & re-accrediation" articles. Geez, my heart skips every time I see these headlines, thinking that I'm about to read that Russia decided to shut down international adoptions.
ps. No agency or referral news. Last week, M took my one call to our dossier coordinator to ask her about the amount of currency we'll need for Trip 1.

Interesting article. Much of the same old stuff. It's good that the media keeps running these articles though I think. Since I've seen a few families walk away from Russia because of this. I think articles that tell people that Russia isn't shut down are good, gives them hope.
Anyhow, I really like the new cut. You look ready to be a very cool mom.
