Pup Update
Thani slept really well on Sunday night but woke up again on Monday a bit crooked and slow. He received a second dose of his medication in the afternoon, and by the time I got home he was almost back to his original self (with a slightly stiff tail). Today was similar but he did try to eat our carne asada fajitas for dinner - right from our plates - so that pretty much indicates he is back in true Thani form.

Adoption news - I am doing with our friend H to our agency support group tomorrow night to listen to two families discuss their trips to Russia. The first family recently completed their adoption of an infant boy from Kirov; the other family (I believe) is between Trip 1 and Trip 2 to Ekaterinburg to adopt two children.

We have also decided to head out of dodge for the weekend and go camping at Big Bear Lake in the San Bernandino Mountains. We haven't been there since we moved to CA, and it's only 2.5 hours away. We thought we could check it out sans children since it will probably be a good local option for kid vacations.

So glad Thani is getting back to his normal self! Wrigley's tail has a bit of a crook in it too- they are just so long!
Glad you are going camping! It is almost that season here too! Camping with two kids will be interesting...I will let you know what that is like!

Hi Tricia,

Nice to hear your dog is back to his happy, food stealing self. Do you know who the Ekat family is? We have heard there are only a couple of us waiting. Thanks, Ronda

Sounds good. Inspiration and relaxation. :) Glad you're keeping yourself busy and it is nice to see someone enjoying their time with their spouse while you still have "just the two of you." Have a great time!

Oh, we lived in Loma Linda for 4 years while I was in school, and made several trips to Big Bear. It's fabulous! It's so strange how you can have summer and heat and drive 2 hours and get snow. We liked to "visit" the snow back in those days. Now, in Michigan, it visits us too frequently.

Glad your pup is improving.
