Making a Blogging Comeback
I have many posts in my head and would like to share them with you. Work still has my mind occupied, but I will be back blogging soon. In the meantime, I will steal Rhonda's lead and bullet.
- Honestly, the "slow down" in our process (and suggestion from our agency director in May that we probably won't travel until Sept) and lack of re-accrediation news got me in an adoption-funk. It's been hard to blog about working too many hours and having no news. I'm working my way out. There are rumors... but no news from our agency.
- Our friends E and Tim got their court date last Friday for June 27th. They leave Thursday. They have been waiting 5.5 months for their court date (region = Ekat). We are so excited to meet Sammi and Sasha in person very soon!
- Had a fabulous time in Madison last weekend visiting friends. My best girlfriends from college got together for Aoife's baby shower (center) and going away party. She and her husband are moving to Portland in August. It was nice to see everyone, take a break from work, and spend a few days shopping & going out with the girls. With us all becoming parents this year (fingers crossed), we know that weekends like this are going to be harder to arrange in the future.
Special happy thoughts and congrats to Maggie and she enters sluggerhood in just a couple of days.

I am so sorry that the adoption news is discouraging- but it still sounds like it will happen this year and you have a lot going on. Get it all in before the kids come- you will be glad you did! I think I need to adopt your pedicure/ hair plan. Sounds good!
