No, We Aren't In Russia
We are here. Usually happy, sometimes annoyed, always impatient (speaking for myself) but very very (very) much looking forward to "the call".

I have been tagged by Suzanne to complete my 10 professional/personal goals for the summer...

1. Get a promotion at work. I see this as my last opportunity (for a while) to put 150% into my career. This is why you haven't heard from me on the blog. I've been working many extra hours, including evenings, on a couple of big projects.

2. Host a neighborhood BBQ once/month to get to know our neighbors and San Diego friends better. We picked the dates this weekend: July 14th and August 11th. Locals, expect your evite soon!

3. See the 4th of July fireworks on the USS Midway. Go to the Del Mar Races.

4. Decorate the master bedroom and bath.

5. Organize all of the boxes in the garage that hold old paperwork and collectables.

6. Get my home office/craft room put together. Continue on the geneology project, and figure out how to archive old photographs to share with the rest of the family.

7. Get pedicures every three weeks. Get my hair cut & colored every ten weeks.

8. Get ready to put together photo albums for Trip #1. I have all of the materials & pictures but don't want to put the albums together until we have our children in mind.

9. Collect clean, new $100 bills.

10. Go camping at least one more time before September.

Seems as if you have a nice balance to your list - sorting garage (hot and sweaty), pedicures (pleasant and refreshing.

I have a blue nail from a smash, so my last pedicure got my blue polish with pink flowers on my big toes and pink polish on all the others. It's actually a lot cuter than I thought it would be.

I wish I could get pedicures on a bi-monthly basis. My feet are hurtin'.

I hope you get the call soon. And sorry about your co-workers family

I have been wondering about you -- keeping busy is a great way to pass the time. Hang in there, maybe the wait will come to an end soon! :)

#5 and #7. Me too.

Sounds like you have a lovely summer laid out for yourself. Keep busy, and soon enough "the call" will come and happily mess up the whole plan. :)

A nice, balanced and fun summer. Now why didn't I think of that. Oh yeah, my brain is addled from all the WAITING. Hope you get that referral soon.

Great goals! Can't wait for those BBQs. (Maybe we'll even have children to bring in August.)

But Tricia, we can tell that you are young because you can go 10 weeks without getting your hair colored.

Sounds like a very do-able list :) I get pedicures once a month... Sometimes I feel guilty about it, but then I think it is one of those small things I can do for myself that makes me feel so good. Plus, living on a tropical island, it's kind of a priority to make sure your feet are sandal ready. (I think the only time I've wear anything except sandals or dressy, strappy shoes is when I go to the gym.)

Great list! Sounds like you've got some work cut out for you this summer! Glad you're staying busy during the wait. That always helps.
