This weekend we hosted another pool party/BBQ. It was a full house - we probably had about 40 people in our backyard at one point; including 15 or so kids in the pool. (Note to self: we need pool rules. My heart jumps way too much when I see kids jumping from the rocks or hot tub into the deep end.)

We did hear from our agency director on Friday. The news is that he's going on vacation for two weeks but if referrals come in they will be handled by someone else. He also said, "...and ask you to look toward September as the month for many of the referrals to start coming..." Of course, my translation of that phrase it that we will receive our referrals in September. (Please indulge the optimist in me!)

I continue to make progress on my geneology/archiving project. Last weekend I compiled all of our old pictures into one place. Today I've started the scanning process. It look me about two hours to scan 50 pictures. Here's one for the road - this is a picture of my Russian grandmother when she was about 18 (1937). I like this one because she's holding a couple of dogs!
