We heard from our agency director today. Maybe he heard about my haircut and highlights?!! Which turned out great BTW.

I was going to call him tomorrow, and probably will just to find out more about what is happening in referral world.

Here are some highlights:

• Referrals for infant boys are going slower than anticipated because they don't have information (things like photos or medical info) to share with families. Apparently, the boys are available, but the info is taking longer than anticipated to come through.
• Infant girls are still high demand and will take some time.
• Referrals for toddlers are (still) slow as well but show signs of picking up. (I think we are in this category. )
• They have four families traveling this week; and more traveling next. Referrals continue to come in... apparently some even came in today!

Just not for us. Yet. Maybe I'll have more info tomorrow.

What this means to you. You are all very lucky. Because I had an alternative post all planned. You see I have this song in my head and it won't go away. It's almost annoying me more than waiting for our referrals so I thought I would share my pain. Maybe tomorrow.

Have a good weekend everyone! Shalisa and her family are coming out from Chicago to see us for a week starting Sat! She's bringing husband Luis, Lucas (4yo son) and Clare (18mo daughter).
