We are worried about another fire which is approx 2 miles northwest of the "The Bridges" (see previous post). They have evacuated the area called Mount Israel and the fire is moving west towards Elfin Forest (location of Thani's "Four Paws Play Ranch"). In relation to our neighborhood, the latest fire is about 5-6 miles from us.The pictures above are taken from our "look-out" road looking towards the fire area. For those who have visited us, this is the road that the elementary and high school are on.

I've been thinking about you guys and hoping that you are doing well. Elizabeth too!
It sounds like for the time being things are holding steady and you're back at home for now.
My thoughts are with you. We are surrounding by fires on 3 sides (Malibu, Santa Clarita and Simi), so the sky looks similar and is quite smokey today. The winds have been unbearable, but luckily we're in no danger.
PS: Good call on bringing the dossier along. :)
Many folks joke about us Californians but when the chips are down we tend to come together.
I've also heard the winds should be dying down by Thursday, so hopefully it won't get too much worse tomorrow.
