Here are some pictures of our trip to Chicago/Indiana the first weekend of November.

We flew into Chicago on Thursday and spent the night at Shalisa's house. Here is a picture of her children, Clara (~18 mo) and Lucas (4 yo). We drove to Indiana on Friday and stopped over in Rome City, IN before heading over to my cousin Ben's house. That night, we went to Culver's for dinner so I could indulge in one of my favorite turtle sundaes.

Saturday my Aunt Tam (my father's sister) hosted an early Thanksgiving dinner. That's Santa Claus with his back at the camera. (Actually it's my grandpa.)

Then we went out for a walk to give the dogs some exercise. This is a picture of Wrigley, Tim & Melinda's dog. He's definitely Thani's cousin!

We also got to meet two other dog cousins. Shadow (black lab) and Sienna (yellow lab) are Eric's kids.

In the woods. Eric (cousin), my brother Rich, Amanda (Ben's wife) and Ben (another cousin).

Tim and Melinda with their boy Lucas (~3 yo).

Uncle Eric and Lucas.

He's three...and a boy... need I say more?

This is Lilly and mom Melinda - she just turned one on Sunday!

After Indiana, we headed back to Chicago and spent the evening with Colleen (Michael's sister) and her family. This is Packy, Matthew, Christopher, Shannon and husband Peter.
Monday morning we met up with our good friends Ray & Gloria for breakfast. Then Kristin (my sister) and I did some damage on Michigan Avenue before catching our flight back to San Diego.
It was great to see everyone! Let us know when the snow melts!

Looks like a fun weekend. Of course, I just kept thinking -- she was so close to me! If you ever come in town for longer than a weekend and have a bit of time to spare give me a call. I would love, love, love to meet you. I know how hectic it can be fitting in time to see all of the family and so forth -- that's more important of course.

Looks like my family. Lots of cousins and tons of kids! Must have been nice to get back in the fall and enjoy the good, ol' Midwest. :)

We had a wonderful weekend with you...way too short though. Week vacations in San Diego are much better time for catching up if I do say so myself. Didn't really feel like we got much time to talk but that always seems to happen in the midst of having small children screaming and running all over...you will find out hopefully soon. We will keep our prayers going and hopes up! Who knows maybe you will be spending Christmas in Russia!

I want to be invited to an early Thanksgiving dinner. Actually anyone who ever wants to cook for me is a good friend. It looks like you had a lot of fun with your family!
