I was going to post that the reason that this blog has gone dark was due to the writers strike but that's not true because I'm not a professional writer. But on second thought, I'm actually paid for writing marketing collateral for scientists. So I guess you could say I am a professional writer. Most of the time the topics are not very exciting for everyday folk but it keeps me busy and focused on something other than the adoption.
So I'll give you an adoption update. We have heard nothing about new referrals in NN. That option doesn't seem to be moving forward for us which is OK considering our earlier adoption mishap. We did learn about a month ago about older girls being available / becoming available in another region. We had been actively pursuing this option but unfortunately the coordinator has been in hospital and not able to give us any information until last week. When I talked to our agency director last Wed, he said that there may be two girls available but they are "on hold" for foster families at the moment. More girls may become available in December. Key word in the last two sentence is MAY.
Gosh, it really hope we are home by May.
I'm sorry it's hurting/slowing your process Tricia. Especially when I don't believe it's a good program for the kids.
