We are busy gathering our paperwork and getting what we need for our trip. Over the last three days we made trips to Old Navy, Target, Marshalls, TJ Maxx, Famous Footwear, Payless Shoes, Shoe Pavillion, Nordstrom Rack, and Loehmanns for 6 year old clothes & shoes and gifts.
We are taking a bunch of clothes over to donate to the orphanage and to get a good handle on M's size. Her measurements suggest she is average height/weight for her age... so we ended up getting clothes & shoes for 5 to 7 year olds. I'll take a picture of our finds and post it when I have a minute.

Last night I also put together the photo album we'll leave with M. I'm also going to put together another one (when I have another spare 2 hours) just in case we receive another referral.
Our tickets were reissued today and our passports with visa should arrive tomorrow, a full 3 days before traveling! Thani is booked at Four Paws (during the week, Kristin is staying here over the weekends) and we have a driver to pick up us in Moscow.
Only two more days of work!

I left several open slots at the end of our photo album and then developed pictures while we were there to add pictures of us together. Not sure if you'd have access to 1 hour photo or not in your region. It was a stretch in St. Pete's but I was bound and determined!
Don't forget those noise-canceling headphones, and some tylenol PM.
My 6-year-olds are head-over-heels in love with their stuffed animals right now. They can't go anywhere without them... so make sure you have one packed!
Good luck!
Isn't there something about shopping that just makes it all real? I know for every pregnancy and adoption in our family I only ever completely felt like there was a new child coming when I went out and bought something for him/her! It gives it a concrete feeling, somehow. I also, incidentally, feel that way about Christmas coming and gift shopping . . . maybe I just need something I can lay hands on :P
Either way, you must be so excited!
