I'm in Tokyo for work this week. This is the same trip I was supposed to take in September and October. Those trips were rescheduled to this week... funny how our trip to Russia almost perfectly coincided with this one!

I've been working out of our Tokyo office, and also attending a big scientific convention here. My old boss lives in Yokohoma so it's been nice to see him and catch up; along with my other Asia-Pacific colleagues.

The food has been wonderful. Monday night we went out for traditional Japanese food; Tuesday lunch was Indian and tonight was Korean barbeque in Koreatown. Tomorrow is another traditional Japanese lunch ("lunchbox" or "bento"); and Wednesday we are going to Chinatown in Yokohama. Oh, and we've been working hard too!

No news from our agency - which is good - we are just waiting for our coordinator to meet with the judge on Dec 20th and hopefully issue us a court date. We still need to chase our our doctor and psychologist for their 2008 licenses and they are on full alert to get that done asap.

Grandpa Green was right! He said Japan. Sounds like you're enjoying. We've been dealing with ice since Sunday, and it isn't over yet. Aunt Tam

Nice you've got lots on your plate to keep you busy while you wait. My DH worked for Hitachi and has many entertaining stories from his times in Tokyo. It's still on my to do list for travel -- a bit harder with two little ones now.

Safe travels. Do I get a prize for guessing correctly?

Have fun in Tokyo! Did your jet lag catch up with you right before you traveled across the world again? You definitely get around! Hopefully time with fly fast since you sound so busy!

Ahh... Tokyo. I should have guessed because I knew you had that trip scheduled at one point.
