We made it to Moscow! After my last post, we finished our packing at 1:30AM and turned the lights off at 2AM. We were up again at 3:45AM to catch our early morning flight. This time we decided to fly Delta to Moscow via Atlanta. We really enjoyed the flight, and the three hour layover in Atlanta wasn't too bad. We ended up getting to the hotel around 1:30PM Monday afternoon Moscow time. I had envisioned an afternoon of sightseeing - in the end we enjoyed the luxury of the Marriott Grand and took a three hour nap before meeting up with our travel companions from New Jersey. They are adopting from the same orphanage, a girl and a boy about the same age as M.
We had dinner at the hotel and then made our way over to the coffee shop across the street for internet access. Unfortunately they didn't have any internet cards... so we haven't been able to post an entry until this morning (Tuesday). Today we head over to the Russian Medical Clinic in about an hour for our 8-doctor medical appointments. This will take about 2 hours and then hang out at the hotel until our night train to VL.
Tomorrow we see M with a social worker; and then make the 3.5 hour drive up to P. Court is Thursday morning. I will try to post again as soon as possible after court since we probably won't have internet access or time until then.
I can't wait to hear that court is over and she is yours.
Big hugs to your beautiful girl from us!
enjoy your days to come. All will go great. Enjoy each moment and
you are all in our thoughts.Love, Debra and family
We are very excited to follow your journey!
Best wishes!
