Before Z came over on Sunday, Kristin came over to make sugar cookies with Rita. We also had hot chocolate using the cute snowman mugs that Grandma gave us for Christmas.
Monday we had the big dentist appointment. Rita had only one cavity! And the dentist was able to remove the staining from her teeth. (We are so fortunate... teeth are usually a big deal with older adopted children from Russia.) So we celebrated with a grande Strawberries & Creme Frappuccino and an apple fritter at St*rbucks.

After going back to the dentist today to have her cavity filled (Michael came along because I was too freaked out to do this alone) we went out for
Pho. We are trying to introduce Rita to new foods so she doesn't become too picky. She had pork meatballs and noodles and thought it was "very tasty". Tonight we are making beef tacos. Friday is Thai with my work colleagues (department lunch we are going to crash).
The weather has been unbelieveable the last two days. Yesterday we hung out by the pool. Rita was down to her skivvies... there are pics but with the internets filled with weirdos I won't post those. Today I think it was like 80F so we went for a hike along with lagoon with Thani.
And, I'm so jealous of your beautiful weather. Does Rita know how to swim yet? You guys have a pool right? You have to watch these fearless little girls...
Katya was clueless and sunk right to the bottom at first, but within days she was swimming like a little fish and doing somersaults off the diving board even -- stopping her mother's heart, I might add!
It looks like you guys are having so much fun together. I'm so happy for you and what seems like such a seemless transition!
