"Six, mama!"

Said Rita looking at her digital clock at 3:56AM this morning. I was very proud of her but we have to get her biological clock on California time. Michael and I are alternating nights in her room until she sleeps through the night.

May I recommend melatonin. She'll be in the zone in a day or two with this. OK -- no more assvice.

She sounds like she's adjusting quite quickly. What a lovely little girl.

So...she's reading her clock backwards?

Melatonin is great. Trader Joe's has a really good chewable peppermint one.

Friends have had great success with ages 3+ with the rule that you can't get out of bed until the first number is X. (Maybe mark the first number with a sticker...)

I LOVE hearing all your daily adventures! And, I think R's addition to the house rules were spot on.

So glad to catch up on your adventures in Rita World :) Last time I checked in you were not home yet. These stories are very funny! Thanks for sharing them, but come on lady - you know we come here for pictures! hehe.

Oh that's got to be tough. She's never had to deal with a time-change before. Sleeping in her room has got to be a great bonding activity. --sandy

We also use the, "stay in your bed until the clock says 630a". They can look at a book or whatever, but stay in bed. It worked for us. If she is scared, that is a whole other issue. It may take a week to adjust. It is the complete opposite time of the day in Russia, so it can really throw you for a loop!
