Last week, during the "week of neverending timeouts", tickets for George Michael went on pre-sale. I logged in and was able to purchase floor tickets to the San Diego show - the first show on his first North American tour in 17 years. They are the most expensive concert tickets I have ever purchased but .... I was a HUGE fan of Wham! back in the 80s and he is the last person on my list of bands/performers I want to see live.
Anyone want to go with me? June 17th. My Michael will thank you.
In other news...I have tickets to see The Cure on June 6th (re-scheduled from October). Also, Duran Duran is coming May 8th but I think I will pass this year. Tickets to see them (at a local casino) are $95 plus fees!
Course, if I flew to San Diego, than that would officially be the most I've ever spent on a concert.
I too was a big Wham! fan. I should check if he's coming to Chicago...wonder who I could rope into that...
P.S. You really are a product of the 80's. Have fun.
