Do Over
Rita had her surgery today. The pediatric opthamologist replaced her silicone frontalis sling. She positioned and secured it higher this time with additional stitches to make her eye more oval like her left eye. She also had a "right eye inferior oblique recession" - basically the doctor repositioned one of her eye muscles so that when she looks up and to the side, her pupil doesn't rotate as far back (more similar to her left eye).

Rita has been sleeping and resting on the sofa all afternoon and evening. She isn't eating that much. Her eye is alot more puffy (and she's developing a nice black eye) this time around. She's on tylenol, liquid antibiotic and antibiotic ointment (the stuff she likes the least because it stings her eye). We will keep her out of school tomorrow - she has a follow-up appointment with the doctor who did her hernia operation anyways.

I'll post some photos of Kristin's birthday party (last night at our house) over the weekend. I'm also going to try to learn how to edit and post video ... ambitious ... but we have so many cute Rita clips I would like to share.
