Busy Weekend!
On Saturday, my company hosted our annual summer picnic at the San Diego Zoo. We met up with friends in the morning and walked around the zoo until lunchtime. Then, we took Rita to a "Tae Kwon Do" birthday party. The kids were given a tae kwon do lesson, followed by pizza, games, cake and presents. It was really cute! All of the kids seemed to know what to do ... I know Rita's teacher brought in a tae kwon do instructor once per week for one of their gym activities.
Later that afternoon, I had my much anticipated cut & color. I ended up going blonder, about 1.5 inches shorter, with layers. So far, I like how it has turned out. We'll see tomorrow morning when I have to wash and style it for work!
On Sunday, we took advantage of the hot weather and visited the beach near our house. Rita loves the water and is doing a great job on the boogie board and loves to swim into the waves. It was a great afternoon!

Thanks for the comment on my blog- did you mean to not consider committing right now? I spoke to the agency today and they said that it is vacation time over there right now so they haven't made a decision yet... ugh!
Oh those beach pictures just make me want to forget not spending any money and just fly out there with the kids!! I know Lucas would LOVE it again. Lilly might be a little afraid of the waves but if she could get past the sound of it she would be fine. Hopefully we can plan a big trip next year! Have fun with Rich! What is he up to??

Great blog too!! I have 2 children from Russia so I like to follow evryones stories as well!! Glad to see Rita is doing so well!!
