New Vocabulary This Week
actually
because
yeah (said with an american accent)

Rita got an 83% on her spelling test last week. Yes, it was only level 1 (of 3) of 2nd grade spelling ... but that's not too shabby for six months in America. Especially since she took the test like the rest of the students.

We've been prepping for spelling test #2 tomorrow.

Don't you just love to watch their language develop! This morning we heard, "Oooo, Jake. Don't zerbert, that's gross!" It was very cute.

Hope Spelling test #2 goes as well!

Glad to hear things are going well. We just got back from a trip to Michigan and Chicago. Looked at some places to live - we really like the suburb called Elmhurst. It's where Frank's work will be located, and it's such a nice area for a family. (And yes, we've finally decided on a location ---> Chicago!)

Good luck with spelling test #2!!

Not too bad? That's EXCELLENT! I work with kids who've been in this country much longer, and they don't score that high on their spelling tests. Way to go Rita!
