Rita has been asking more and more questions about her grandparents, her great-grandparents and us. Like:
"Where were you born? In America?"
(answer - yes, we were born in Wisconsin and Illinois.)"When did you fly to America?"
(answer - we were born in America. do you mean, when did we fly to California?)"Why do we live in California? I want to live by Uncle Rich (or Sammi & Sasha)."
(answer - we live in California because that's were our jobs are.)"Why don't you live by the beach? I want to live by the beach so I can go swimming."
(answer - we moved into the new home so you could be close to school and so you could have a swimming pool and swim more often.)In the car over the weekend, Rita summarized how her family came to be.
"First mama got Yoshi."
"Then mama got Papa."
"Then mama got Thani."
"Then mama got me."
So stinkin' cute!
She's a clever girl, isn't she?
We were also joking around on Friday night, asking her who she thought the "boss" of the family was.
She said "Mama and Rita".
(I gave her a high five. Michael just shook his head.)
Please give Rita a big hug and kiss from Sammi and Sasha. They talk about you all the time. (Really about you, and Michael--tell him--and Rita and Thani. Not so much Yoshi. But every so often the girls will say, "That girl looks just like Rita." or "That girl looks like Tricia." or "That dog looks just like Thani." Sorry, Michael, but I know they miss you, too.
I'm teared up because I miss you guys so much.
